It depends what you are giving for free. A mini-course, for example, is a great way to introduce basic paid for tools like Clickfunnals, autoresponders, etc with your affiliate link, etc.

Getresponse is quite good when starting out. It is cheap for a small list and quite easy to use.
Which ever service you use make sure to add your autoresponders spf record to your domain in your hosting account. This will improve deliverability. I have found many people forget to do this.

- Then once someone signs up they should be directed to your offer.
- They should then get an email about your offer via your autoresponder immediately and also the link to the lead magnet.
