Ok, l think you need to check with support because l didn't even know that Udimi had gift cards, but l would think that the gift card would be to entice them to sign up under you, so yes give them after they register with your link. But if you're talking about the $5 discount, then it's applied when they make their 1st purchase.

Running your own autoresponder and getting deliverability is a huge challenge. Consider using a good smtp server with a front end. You still cannot spam but at least you’ll get inboxed.
trust me I built an autoresponder and spent years getting everything worked out. I also spent way more money than most people would be willing to.

Hello! Just wondering if anybody can give me some advice on custom autoresponders? Have been tempted to switch to my own custom built autoresponder to obviously save on the monthly fees, but big name autoresponders like Getresponse do a ton in the background to maximize email deliverability and constantly improve features. I'll probably lose out on these 2 factors with a custom built autoresponder. Still, would be nice to hear what the fellow techies have to say. Thanks in advance!

It's not your own product but one that you're promoting as an affiliate right? Then you get nothing but your affiliate share of the sales made. You get no leads, optin stats or any other info except how many sales you made and how much you got for each sale. That's it.
However, clicks you can easily see in your 'Orders' page once your solo starts running. Hope it helps. Cheers! :)

At first I didn't understand what you meant, but I think you mean that they should track what affiliate offers people are making sales with when they buy solos.
Its a good idea but it would be hard to setup being that every offer is owned by a different person/company and each has different tracking, plus if they displayed the top 5 offers on the udimi homepage or a section of it, it would send a lot of traffic to those offers, without any compensation to udimi. Unless udimi could make a deal with each offer owner.
I wish there was more discussion/guides about actually sending solos, growing subscribers, and managing lists, best autoresponder companies and hosting compaies to use. There are some solo sellers here with really big lists and intricate server networks for delivering their clicks, but they rarely post any tips or insights. I can't really find any good discussion on subscriber business management these days.
