One suggestion I have is to allow for more characters for ratings. There has to be a fine line between allowing people to post a book and barely giving people the room to explain their rating or experience...and my vote is to push that line a bit further toward allowing people to be more descriptive. Thanks

Businesses grow and are successful when they take the statistics of the entire business and make changes accordingly. As a buyer I would prefer it not be changed to 100 minimum because I can see testing a sellers list by buying 50 or 75 to start with (and have done that). If the list responds I'll consider a larger purchase. BUT - circle back to my first sentence...I can understand why changes are necessary for good, overall business growth and success.

I'm not a seller but I've seen new sellers give killer deals on clicks until they build a client list (being willing to take a loss - all part of building a long-term successful business). Starting right off at .44 when you have not built your reputation - I just know i wouldn't buy from you. Just something to consider.

I'm a noob here so perhaps am not an authority to speak but...really, if you have a buyer that just blasts you with a negative to get a refund then that's a one-time purchase for them. Wouldn't you simply refuse to sell to them again? The old, "rip me off once, shame on you - twice, shame on me" approach? Are there so many of these jerks that if you refuse to sell a second time to every one of them you'd have no buyers? I can assure you, you'd have at least me as a buyer cuz I'm extremely fair to everyone and do not rip anyone off. I have to high of personal integrity to do that.

Okay, I'm done...great conversation. I personally enjoy a cool-headed debate where a subject is dug into from opposing sides.

So very much like you, Heather...going the extra mile, making suggestions, providing amazing service to your buyers. You seriously ROCK.

Of course, the fact you accepted my swipe whereas I've had about 6 sellers reject it does help me put you into that "Rock Star" category. :)

Prime example of helpfulness: Had a reject. Seller sent quick message: "Your ad is more geared toward the intermediary internet marketer. My list may not be responsive" Wow... thank you!!! That tells me either I need to change my swipe or find a more targeted list. Did seller have to do that? Nope - and I get that. But for someone that's new, it sure is helpful and in the end I'm going to be considering that seller for future campaigns. One thing my mentor had taught me well - true, long-term success is about relationships. I'll just leave it at that and thank y'all for your feedback; apologize to those I may have offended and .. move on.

Well, alright then - I stand corrected. If I could delete my post I would. It's just that the buyers are busy, too, and it takes time to set up the purchase and to just have it rejected with no explanation...okay. Guess the newbies will just have to figure out which buyers are not interested in what they are advertising (or whatever the reason would be to reject).

Uh... which sellers, that is.
Maybe we need a thread: "Potential reasons a seller might reject a buyer's ad swipe"
Just a thought...

WHY do sellers arbitrarily reject a job and do not communicate back to the buyer?? See, to me, this is a reason to give negative feedback on a seller. It's RUDE to reject and give no reason/explanation. I know as a buyer I want to know what I'm doing wrong and/or if that seller just doesn't accept my particular niche. I'll say it again for emphasis: Silence is rude! Nicole K - I will be remembering your name for any future campaigns I'll be running.

Could not agree with you more. I'm not a seller but it's unfair and wrong to put that kind of expectation on the seller. How well written is the ad copy? How attractive is the subject-line? I get garbage all the time in my email with the most ridiculous subject-lines and I never even open. I'm a professional...and want to work with professionals. Just my .02 cents worth....spend it wisely. :)

I see some solo ad sellers offer a "custom swipe" box for an additional charge. Can someone tell me what this is, please?

Thanks

The way I see it, Kay, is if a seller doesn't have time to engage me then I don't have time to deal with that kind of attitude. I've been taught by the best and establishing a good relationship with a seller is critical to long-term success. Find the right one and you can really work with them...the others that just want to take your money - forget it. There's too much competition for that kind of attitude. That's my opinion...and it's free!
