How simple is that. I have this discussion daily. Most solo list members are curious and they only sign up to see whats up. If they do not get what they want immediately your sunk. My math shows that single opt-in GOOD lead cost 75% less then double opt-in. That is even after you have removed bounces and junk email addresses.
The next trick is to get them to open your email and engage in your content. I am able to get 50-75% engagement. But Ive been doing this for 14 years.

How many people have signed up to your landing page? About a third of people that optin usually confirm their subscription. Are you using an good autoresponder so the confirmation email is getting to their inbox? Do you have an incentive like a free ebook, guide, or video that they would want to get by confirming their optin?
