I know that creating a single optin campaign will increase the amount of leads you can mail, but does it decrease deliverability in terms of the spam bin? Should I switch to double optin?

What can I do besides getting my spam score down to zero to increase the changes my ad won't land in the gmail etc. spam bins?

Aweber will go through better. If your messages are infrequently opened and if people complain you don't have permission it can cause problems. I wouldn't double opt in but in my experience when I have 10-20% don't confirm. It does however build more trust to some people. There's no one true answer. It's best to experiment with your lead capture page and then test the responsiveness of your list based upon future opens and clicks of your swipes. Sometimes a smaller more responsive list is more profitable. Experiment and learn.
