Hi Mike, my thoughts here. I've done both. Initially started by creating my own Ad text however when it was supplied to the seller I wasn't sure how it was being used. I have now reverted to just providing the seller my links and secured the email of prospective buyers through my optin page at which point I would then prospect them with my Ad text. Hope this helps.
