Affiliate Program Improvement

Affiliate and JV programs will be merged into one simple concept: affiliates will get 2 cents for each click bought by their referrals.

Example: you will earn $1 000 / month, if you have 50 buyers who buy 1000 clicks per month.

Migration will be automatic on 11th September 2015. All current affiliate and JV links will remain active and unchanged.

Best, Uncle Dimitry.

correct me if I'm wrong, but no matter how you do the math, basically you will get paid .02 per click. So if someone orders 100 clicks, 100 * .02 = $2.00.

So if the seller charges $40 for 100 clicks, $2/$40 = 5%.

LOL. As if 5% is that much different from 2%.

It's still an insult to expect your affiliates to refer traffic to sellers for a measly 5%.

@Jay Saletra: Last month you made $56 for referring 1300 clicks. With the new "improved" affiliate program, you will make 1300 * .02 = $26.

Basically, you're affiliate earnings will be slashed in half.

I can only speak for myself but there is absolutely no way I would send traffic to an offer like that when there are so many other ways I could make so much more with my traffic.

I have no idea why Udimi feels this new "improved" system is going to be better.

I suspect it has something to do with the number of clicks that affiliates are buying with their earnings. Although, I don't know why that should matter to them because they were still taking their cut on solos purchased with affiliate earnings.

All I know is I have spoken with lots of sellers and word is getting around that Udimi is not the place to sell solos.

I also don't understand this:

"All current affiliate and JV links will remain active and unchanged. JV links remain active and you can pay to your affiliates as much as you wish."

So then nothing is changing for existing members? Will this new affiliate program only apply to new members?

that is correct and that is why I am done with UDIMI. this is so friking stupid. but he can do what he wants. I expect I am not the only one who will be leaving. there are thousands of places to buy clicks from and get paid for referring people. I will choose any of those over this BS

Tons of people have already jumped ship and more will follow. They have gone too far with their greed and sucking every penny out of buyers and sellers. They make .05+ for EVERY click sold and then they go and do things like charging another $2.99 to use their wonderful "filter," etc. It's ridiculous. Everything they do is motivated by greed and it is going to be their undoing.

For some strange reason they are under the impression that they are the best place to buy and sell solos and nothing could be farther from the truth.

I made a sale today! MADE A WHOPPING $2.00! Whooo-hoooo!

Yup. It's a huge joke. What an insult. I mean who is going to promote something for a $2 commission? Absolutely ridiculous. Seems to me they can't do enough to screw sellers out of sales. Guess they don't like making money.

I mean think about this Tom. Let's say you promote a seller and they sell 1000 clicks at say .50 per click. That's $500 in sales. With the new "improved" affiliate program you would make a grand total of $20.00 in commission from that sale (1000 clicks * .02 = $20).

Would you ever promote a product that sold for $500 and only paid a $20 commission? Come on. This is so ridiculous!

No will not promote other people here as the system promotes ones with the highest Payout percentage, i think you have seen the adds on facebook what about that uncle ???who gets the commission on that instance? anyway it looks like the new JV improved system suits the owners of this system that way and it looks like its not a democracy here so.... "it is what it is "

Example:

Seller A has JV commission of 30% Seller B has JV commission of 0% Seller C has JV commission of 0%

All sellers sell at $0.50/click

User refers a buyer, who buys: 200 clicks from Seller A, 200 clicks from Seller B 200 clicks from Seller C

With OLD affiliate program, user will receive: From Seller A: 200 * 0.50 * 0.30 = $30 From Seller B: 200 * 0.50 * 0.00 = $0 From Seller A: 200 * 0.50 * 0.00 = $0 TOTAL: $30

With NEW affiliate program, user will receive: From Seller A: 200 * 0.50 * 0.30 + 200 * 0.02 = $34 From Seller B: 200 * 0.50 * 0.30 + 200 * 0.02 = $4 From Seller C: 200 * 0.50 * 0.30 + 200 * 0.02 = $4 TOTAL: $42

OLD TOTAL: $30 NEW TOTAL: $42

Why would anyone promote a seller that pays 0% commissions in the first place? That makes no sense.

Hey is the math wrong fro Seller B and C?

With NEW affiliate program, user will receive: From Seller A: 200 * 0.50 * 0.30 + 200 * 0.02 = $34 From Seller B: 200 * 0.50 * 0.30 + 200 * 0.02 = $4 From Seller C: 200 * 0.50 * 0.30 + 200 * 0.02 = $4

Shouldn't it be

From Seller A: 200 * 0.50 * 0.30 + 200 * 0.02 = $34 From Seller B: 200 * 0.02 = $4 From Seller C: 200 * 0.02 = $4

If B and C have 0% set as JV Commission? Otherwise I am not following.

yes, you are right. It is:

From Seller B: 200 * 0.50 * 0.00 + 200 * 0.02 = $4 From Seller C: 200 * 0.50 * 0.00 + 200 * 0.02 = $4 TOTAL: $42

OLD TOTAL: $30 NEW TOTAL: $42

So I read the whole thread from top to bottom but I am still unclear as to reason for the change.

You mentioned "simplicity" in the first post but I don't understand how a dual computation is simpler then a single computation based on sales price.

And I am not aware of any other complaints related to the current system other then having affiliates contact us for payment. Personally I would just like them to be paid instantly upon completion. That makes affiliates happiest!

So were there complaints about the current system coming from other areas?

A little more insight into the reason for the change I think would be helpful for everyone.

Cheers, Heather

Heather Alessandra, 1. Affiliate gets paid no matter whether the seller has JV enabled or not (2 cents per click guaranteed payment from Udimi) 2. JV payment gets credited to affiliate instantly 3. Sellers do not have to worry about balance going negative 4. New system is compatible with Click Credits billing scheme and Prime Market

After extensive testing with numerous scenarios, "Click Credits" billing model proven to be less effective than current one.

Current system will stay.

I also decided not to launch Prime Market which entirely depends on it Click Credits.

All click credits will be converted to Udimi balance automatically within 2 days.

Affiliate program will still be changed to 20% fixed JV commissions, as was stated before, but 2 credits per click will not be added.

Wow. despite all the complaints the entrepreneurial side of me was actually looking forward to seeing how a different model would operate.

I know some sellers will say "see I told you so" but I just want to say thanks for trying to be innovative!

Cheers!
