I launched my first internet marketing business in 2002, and over the years, I’ve seen the industry evolve dramatically—some changes for the better, others not so much.

My journey began with an e-commerce venture selling guitars online. I quickly realized that while low-cost guitars brought in customers, the real profits came from upselling accessories with higher margins. That insight transformed the business, and I eventually sold it in 2005.

A few years later, I shifted focus entirely to digital marketing and solo ads. Since then, I’ve launched 7 multi-million-dollar products on platforms like ClickBank, Cash Network, Digistore24, and through private channels. In 2009, I began selling solo ads as a way to monetize the leads we generated from product launches—and it’s been a core part of my strategy ever since.

One major shift I’ve noticed is how people approach solo ads today. Many newcomers expect to make money instantly. But when we started, the goal was to grow a high-quality email list—an asset that could generate revenue daily across multiple offers.

If you're only relying on one offer with your solo ad traffic, you're leaving 90% of your potential income untapped. The real key is building and nurturing your list. Use an autoresponder to create long-term engagement—not just broadcast emails for quick sales. That’s where the real gold is.

Too many so-called "gurus" focus on short-term tactics instead of teaching how to truly build and monetize a list. It may not sound glamorous, but it works—and it works exceptionally well.

My advice? Focus on building your list. If you stick with it and stay consistent, 20 years from now you might be the one sharing your success story. This business has been an incredible blessing, and I wish you all the best on your journey.
