Just my opinion as a supplier....I DONT LIKE AT ALL...

I appreciate some people are lazy and dont start their traffic on time. I am like clock work...everyone gets started 8am EST... Now I have to check every hour on the hour...

Big hassle...

Agree with you.
With the majority of my subscribers being US, someone could request a solo to start when the US is asleep. I'd be hard pushed to deliver 5% of the traffic within 5 hours.

I agree with both of you. Especially if you are selling multiple solos per day, both on Udimi and elsewhere, there's no way to accommodate someone requesting a specific time.

While I, and many others here can fulfill on the day of, it is much more difficult to sell a specific timeslot due to time zone differences, as Andy has stated here.

While I understand what a nice feature this can be for the BUYER, it should NOT be a forced feature pushed onto a Seller.

The BEST thing to do in order to keep the value proposition high would be to...

1) Allow SELLERS the option to provide time specific solos (more valuable if they can offer this service). But give sellers the choice, just like you give sellers the option to charge what they feel their traffic is worth.

2) Allow BUYERS to pick from whether or not they want to work with Sellers who are "time slot" sellers, or just work with Sellers in general.

But I don't agree that making ALL sellers do this is a wise business move. Sellers will most likely REJECT more orders this way.

There are plenty of other places to sell traffic outside of Udimi, and it just causes mixed feelings, in my opinion.

I don't agree either on the new scheduling rule - Udimi should fascilitate both party (Buyer & Seller) equally, we are one big family.

From what I can see, this also means the buyer cannot order a solo for immediate start, they have to wait for 4-5 hours - is this new also?

sellers should be able to set the times they are sending solos out and buyers can choose if they want to send at those times or not. My subscribers are US and I don't send solos in a.m. hours.

I also, don't agree with this new rule, and I can also appreciate some people don't start their traffic on time. I also am like clock work...everyone gets started 11am AEST...
But now same thing as Bill, I'll Now have to check every hour on the hour...

This is a major inconvenience and hassle for me also.

Any "for today" solo can start right away. The system will give you 105 hours to deliver the order if you accept it instantly.

When I have tried this, there is no 'stats' tab available for the solo

This is just a mess. Sellers know when their list is most responsive and at what times..sending solos at random time of day just don't work.

100% agree.... not good business when you force your platform sellers to change their entire business model, or give up control of your own business.

From affiliate point of view it is easier to promote Udimi with up to the minute accuracy. And I remember this feature from Safe swaps. IMO when I know the solo will go out on time it gives peace of mind.

Just Had a solo that was suppose to start at midnight last night, so i scheduled it all in to start so i could go to bed and for some reason woke up this morning and it was cancelled and refunded, saying i failed to deliver on time. Now I have one starting in 2hrs, (10am my time) (not midnight). With the old system, every solo started at 11am my local time, so I knew when I had to start the clicks like clockwork, this is random and ridiculous, not to mention that I feel like I need nurse and watch each and every solo order for the first 5 hrs.

This new system is stupid, if we have a technical difficulty, which we all know happens with solo selling, we don't even have time to correct it.

Anyone else agree?

I honestly don't think customers know when they are scheduling orders. I have some orders for delivery this evening. Saturday night into Sunday Morning traffic is not very effective....

In the mean time :) I want happy customers because after all I would not have them without Udimi... :)

Note to self set alarm clock for 2AM to check for orders....also put ear plugs in wife's ears so she don't kill me...LOL
